The Olympics in Rio de Janeiro this week has brought us televised views of the Christ the Redeemer statue overlooking the city. The statue has been damaged by lightning on several occasions. To prevent future damage, an upgraded lightning protection system has been installed. A video showing the installation, as well as amazing views of Rio, can be watched below:
