National Institute of Building Science Publishes Article on Lightning Protection

Building EnclosureAccording to ASTM E831, “a building enclosure includes all materials, components, systems and assemblies intended to provide shelter and environmental separation between interior and exterior.” Lightning protection must be seen as part of that enclosure and the August 2016 issue of NIBS’ Journal¬†offers guidelines on incorporating lightning protection into high-performance building envelopes.
