Tin plated cast bronze clamp features two off-set bolt pressure cable holders to permit perpendicular conductors to be coursed without kinks and bends. For use on round pedestal diameters ranging from 1/2 to 1 inch. Accommodates wire sizes from #8 to 4/0 AWG. Stainless steel U-bolt, hex bolt, nuts and washers, 4-3/8 x 1-1/4 x 1-1/2 in. Manufacturer Installation Recommendations
- Remove the casting piece from the u-bolt by taking the nuts and washers off the u-bolt.
- Place the u-bolt over the pipe.
- Slip the cast piece onto the u-bolt making sure that the rounded side aligned with the pipe.
- Add the washers and nuts to the u-bolt.
- Tighten the nuts evenly on both sides, ensuring the clamp is securely attached to the pipe. The clamp should be firmly in place without any movement. Do not overtighten—excessive force may deform or crush the pipe, compromising the installation.
- Verify that the clamp is secure but not causing damage to the pipe by visually inspecting and applying light manual force.
- Loosen the cable holder bolts from the casting
- Place the cable under the cap so that the cable rests in the groove of the cap.
- Tighten the bolts to 150-inch pounds.
