Manufacturer Installation Recommendations
- Loosen the nuts from each side of the U-bolt to the end of the threads, but not removing them.
- Swing the casting over the pipe and place the opposite side of the U-bolt back into the slot.
- Tighten the nuts evenly on both sides, ensuring the clamp is securely attached to the pipe.
- The clamp should be firmly in place without any movement. Do not overtighten—excessive force may deform or crush the pipe, compromising the installation.
- Verify that the clamp is secure but not causing damage to the pipe by visually inspecting and applying light manual force.
- Locate the cable(s) underneath the cap so that the cable rests in the groove of the cap and the casting.
- Tighten the bolt holding the cable to 100 inch pounds.
