East Coast Lightning Equipment is sponsoring a continuing education program at the Learning Stage at the ABX Conference in Boston, Wednesday, November 16 at 3:45 PM – 4:15 PM. According to the ABX website, “Lightning can be a disaster for a building owner. But it can be a tragedy for architects and engineers that fail to meet the professional standard-of-care to perform lightning risk assessments for buildings they design. Fortunately, the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Standard 780 offers a “Simplified Lightning Risk Assessment” you can use to determine the vulnerability and tolerance for risk of your buildings. This presentation will demonstrate a new, online calculator based on NFPA’s risk assessment protocols that will help you conduct assessments quickly and confidently.”
